Another NY Times article just out, agreeing that willpower is limited. The people who do best with willpower are those who use it least. They avoid temptation as much as possible. If you have a problem with food, then put your servings on your plate and put all the food away before you start to eat. Unplug your TV or turn off your phone when starting a task you’re not thrilled with. You still might use them to escape but you have to make the extra effort and you have a chance to be a little more aware (still needs some willpower tho).
With ADD or ADHD we need extra help, ie strategies because just willpower usually isnt gonna do it.
