The book is out -Yea!! and in three bookstores – double Yea!! and of course on amazon. OK. Now its time to get the E book out. Paid John to format it, task seemed too overwhelming to try myself. He e mailed it to me, lots of steps for me to do yet, to get it on Kindle and all the other kind of E books that I don’t even know about and the instructions for the Kindle and the other ones are all mixed in together and there’s a lot of web sites I have to go to to find out more about how and then there’s even a whole book that I have to download and find the right steps in it and — and my brain is whirling. Feels like spaghetti all twirled up and clumped up in there. Not quite brain freeze yet, but heading there.
This is yet another form of overload, overhelmed, too much information. This happens when I need to put something toogether and there’s a loong sheet of instructions. (This is one of the reasons I hate to stop and ask for directions – I usually get more information than my brain can handle -” You just go ahead three and a half miles and then take the second right by the red barn and then you blah blah blah blah and blah.” Overload.)
Strategies: 1. I printed out John’s instructions. I do better reading off paper than off the computer screen, don’t know why.
2. Looked like the Kindle part is simpler. Started with that one. Don’t always do the hard part first.
3. Try to separate out the Kindle part from the other part.
4. Try to do the first step. Just the first step all by itself. Forget about the rest. Got that one about done. Then I’ll go to the next step. So my job for today isn’t to get the E book up on the Kindle, it’s just to get the first step done. Think I can do that.
