To Commit
No, I don’t mean to get someone locked up, unless its myself. I do try to lock myself into things, where I can’t not do them. If I walked to the end of the scary high dive, I could always chicken out and climb back down, humiliating tho it was. But if I took a running start from the back, then I couldn’t stop and off I went.
When I sat down to write this post, I committed to finishing it before I got up again. Good strategy, but only if I follow it. That requires willpower, which I’m short on, but its worth a try. ………………..
Short Break
Well, didn’t make it.
Bathroom. Couldn’t pass up the opportunity.
But the commitment helped me come right back and not go off and do something else instead.
Strategy
So that’s the strategy. When you start something, you can make a commitment to finish it.
Works sometimes.

I don’t usually watch videos, have no patience. But this one is worthwhile:

I also looked up the video. Yep. That’s me alright! Though I have strategies in place–such as commitment, it doesn’t always work the way I expect or hope. Though I do get microfocused–its not usually a focus on what I need to be doing. I can spend hours designing a room, but my homework? Nope. I think the internet has made my ADHD worse, or is just enabling it. Either way, I usually have to write out my asignments by hand and turn off my phone so that I don’t get distracted with the internet.

Ha, it’s true. Sometimes it works. Some times…. By the way, the link to the Video is missing. But I’m impatient (seems to be a trait of mine, hmmmmmm) so I did a search in YouTube already. Hillarious! Though I do say some of that stuff: some before diagnosis due to Strategiespiel, some post meditacion. Thanks for sharing!
