I’m pretty good at seeing other people’s ADD ADHD problems and offering good advice; it’s very hard for us to see ourselves.
Finally got the message
I finally read the signals:
1. Rerun of old dream about college – haven’t been to class or studying, test coming, too much material to learn.
2. Face started hurting (trigeminal neuralgia), usually triggered by stress.
3. letter from Homey describing feeling overwhelmed.
4. Notice that I’m having feelings of pressure, anxiety, stress, overwhelmed – – – but I’m retired!!! But retired is part of the problem.
Structure and Organization
These were lost when I retired. Right now I’m trying a One and One strategy, explained in last post. Just now see I posted these two out of order – could I maybe have ADD or something?
The Message
I’m trying to do too much! Duh!!!
Trying to write new book, market previous books and force sales higher, learn three new songs and fretboard and scales on guitar, study spanish, keep up with the stock market, three blogs a week and three websites, lots and lots of sites to follow on the net, daily exercise.
Strategies: need to organize, make structure, set priorities, focus on one thing at a time, keep to do lists short, simplify, label distractions.
Easy to say!
One and One is the strategy I’m trying.
