Knob, a Follow Up — ADD Tip o the Day 417

Fifteen minutes after I finished the post about spilling the coffee, the dyscoordination that comes with ADD or ADHD, I got some olives out of the fridge.  When I put the little olive tub back, it hit the little raspberry tub, and olives went all over the floor. Fifteen minutes!!

Two weeks ago, I was going to  soak my sore foot in a tub under the table during lunch.  Got the hot water and the tub all set, got my lunch stuff, went back to the table, forgot about the tub, stepped in it and spilled water all over the floor.

Cleaned it up, filled the tub and set it under the table, went back to the fridge, came back, forgot about the tub and stepped in it and spilled the water again.

Oh, my.   So is it me, or ADD, or are some days just like that?

About doug with ADHD

I am a psychiatric physician. I learned I have ADHD at age 64, and then wrote two ADHD books for adults, focusing on strategies for making your life better. I just published my first novel, Alma Means Soul. Your Life Can Be Better; strategies for adults with ADD/ADHD available at, or (for e books) Living Daily With Adult ADD or ADHD: 365 Tips O the Day ( e-book). This is one tip at a time, one page at a time, at your own pace. It's meant to last a year. As a child, I was a bully. Then there was a transformation. Now I am committed to helping people instead abusing them. The Bully was published in January, 2016. It's in print or e book, on Amazon.

  3. Sheila Harrison says:

I looked up Alan Brown on – hoping he had presented something on ADD or ADHD there – couldn’t find anything related. Did he talk on something else?

  4. darsword says:

Oh, I have SO done things like that! I’m glad you feel brave enough to share so none of us have to feel alone in clutziness/forgetfulness. You have to laugh when it happens. Just not take it too seriously. We are experts at cleaning up our own messes, eh?
