This is basic ADD ADHD:
Wife asked me to change lightbulb, told me she left the new one out on the counter. I looked where I thought she meant, then i looked on the other counters, then I looked everywhere. Frustrating.
Then i found it.
On the counter where I’d looked the first time.
Except it was in a yellow rectangular box of six, instead of in the white cubical box of one I’d been looking for.
Yeeech !!
does this happen to you?

well, the y chromosome certainly is guilty of causing a lot of problems, but i think that this one is pure ADD.

All my life as a child, my mother would say, “If it were a snake it would’ve bit you!” As an adult I heard the echoes of that in my head. It’s great when you can laugh at it, but it is that kind of recording in you mind that can ruin self-esteem.

dars- yeah, i heard that plenty too. but those echoes in our heads are as deadly as snakes.

This is my classic ADD routine: I unlock the door, get in the car and put my key in the ignition. Then, I choose a radio station. And then, it hits me: “Oh no! Where are my keys!” So I look in my pockets and on the floor, only to realize that I’ve unlocked AND started the car with my keys and that they are in the ignition, just as they were supposed to be.

It’s even worse with these new cars that have a “push button” instead of keys in the ignition. Plus the new car is a hybrid so I can’t hear it running sometimes. I keep getting out and trying to lock it while it is still running, luckily it has an alarm that yells at me.

sierra – yes! my wifes car will not let me lock the keys in the car, but it has let me walk off and leave it running several times. when will they make an ADD proof car?
