Choices part 2 — ADD Tip o the day 319

add,adhd,adult add, adult adhd,deficit, attention,strategiesToo many choices, especially with ADD or ADHD – we tend to be creative and curious and have an interest in everything.  Have to choose – I did give up chess.  Want to do this blog, check out facebook and adderworld, practice guitar, study spanish, sit outdoors and contemplate, visit with my wife, catch up on my billing, do the tax thing I’ve been putting off (that’s a lie, i don’t really want to do that), write a little on another book (on marriage) and finish the good novel that’s been keeping me up at night (Innocence by turow).

Then for the next hour —

Choices and priorities are necessary, but hard  for those of us with ADD or ADHD.  Need   strategies – Which one will cost the most if I let it slide?  (taxes).  Which one is the hardest to do (taxes).  What reward can I give myself if I get the @@^$%#&#*  tax thing done?  Guitar time.  OK, there’s a plan- may not work but worth a try.


I think life was hard in the olden days, but they didn’t have so many choices.  How many channels do you get on your TV?

    I started another card where I list my goals. I can look at it and remember what my short/medium term goals are and that helps me choose what to do or even which other cards to look at. I separated my 5 things cards into two–one for work and one for non-work.
    If you do a book on marriage I would love to read it! Please keep us posted!
