“Never, Never, Never give up: Instead, just say “I’m Moving On” or “I’mTaking the Day Off”
UNLESS you were taught never to say “i give up”. In that case say”I give up” three times,
followed by a spinning pirouete, & leave the room while saying “I’m Moving On” or “I’m
Taking the Day Off”. VICTORY IS YOURS!!

love it! – i’m moving on or i’m taking the day off – sounds great. especially with the pirouete!
however- when i went out for the 8th grade basketball team, i had no experience, coordination, depth perception, skill or talent. the coach didnt like me, the 7th graders picked on me, and the only uniform they had for me was faded and ragged. I never got into a game (thank God) and was miserable, but i stuck it out! Yea!! no, not yea – dumb. so tho it may be un american (or un british) i have become a fan of knowing when to quit.
thank you for the comment

Hi Doug,
A friend of mine who is a fiddler once told me he gets less nervous the more people he plays in front of because if he just makes one person in the audience happy, he has done his job and the more people, the better the odds. When you have a bad day, you can always remember that you have written your book and that it has helped people to have good days. I’m sure we all have something we have contributed, even a smile. If we can remember one of those things on our bad days, maybe it will help us through. Thank you for your work.
