ADD and rule number 7 —ADD tip o the day 219

A businessman was sitting in the office of a CEO when the secretary burst in –

” Excuse me for interrupting but there’s a big problem!  Joe just called and he said -so and so and so on–“

The CEO listened for a moment, then held up his hand to stop her, and said, ” Remember rule number seven.”

She looked surprised, then thoughtful

“Oh.  Right.  OK.” and calmly went out the door.

The businessman and CEO resumed their conversation.  A little while later there was a knock, and the man who came in looked very flustered.  “Listen, you’ve got to do something.  Let me tell you what Tom has done –“and so on and so on.

The CEO also stopped him and said, “Remember rule number seven.”  The man calmed down and left quietly.

The businessman turned to the CEO.  “I’ve just got to ask. What in the world is rule number seven?”

“It’s  -Don’t take yourself so damn seriously. “

The business man thought for a moment, and said, “Oh.  Well, what are the other rules?”

“There aren’t any.”
