Make up your mind — ADD tip o the day 168

Feeling overwhelmed again, lots to do, long to do list.  Those of us with ADD or ADHD have trouble setting priorities, but I was able to make a list of five, the five top things.  Good strategy, but it didn’t help.  Stuck.  So I made a list of one, get October’s state tax done.  But I kept getting distracted, there were other things that were important.  Before long I had added an insurance paper and doing this blog, so it became a list of three.  Couldn’t get going.  Ugh!! and Argghh!

Had to make up my mind- I will get the tax done -forget everything else, do not let myself do anything but the tax!  Got it done. Felt better.   Did not get the other two done yesterday, but today have a list of two – this blog, then the insurance paper.  Making progress.

have approved final electronic draft of the book, need to fill out a lot of forms for copyright and the website, then will get the hard copy proof.  Need to keep telling myself there is no rush, it will come out when it comes out -probably january – si dios quierre.

About doug with ADHD

I am a psychiatric physician. I learned I have ADHD at age 64, and then wrote two ADHD books for adults, focusing on strategies for making your life better. I just published my first novel, Alma Means Soul. Your Life Can Be Better; strategies for adults with ADD/ADHD available at, or (for e books) Living Daily With Adult ADD or ADHD: 365 Tips O the Day ( e-book). This is one tip at a time, one page at a time, at your own pace. It's meant to last a year. As a child, I was a bully. Then there was a transformation. Now I am committed to helping people instead abusing them. The Bully was published in January, 2016. It's in print or e book, on Amazon.
