So I’m doing something I enjoy, or maybe not, maybe I’m just killing time, instead of doing what I need to do. Reasons:
1. I’m not sure I can do it – it looks too big, too hard, too complicated. inadequacy
2. I’m not sure I can do it well. perfectionism.
3. I just don’t want to do it, but that’s usually a smoke screen for the first two reasons.
The strategies are the same, small steps, focus on one. I can also promise myself a reward after each step and after the whole thing. It does help, a little, if i figure out why I’m stalling.
