Brain freeze —ADD Tip o the day 74

Have any of you experienced brain freeze?

I’m not sure it’s part of ADD.  It’s certainly related to anxiety.

When your brain freezes you are doing well if you can remember your own name.  The synapses are not firing.  It is not a good thing.

I’ve had it twice, on my first test in college and on a big test in medical school.  The strategy is to take a break and come back.  My wife has it if you say the word “math”.  The strategy is to call it something else and try not to use numbers.

If you have experience with brain freeze let me know please.

yeah, I’m an architect dealing with a womanizer flirting client, and I got brain freeze. It was bad…he put off the job a couple weeks to let me rest.
his wife died, and he is a quite rich with bunches of women chasing him…he is cute, and he flirts and touches too, I’ve asked him not to, but it always creeps up, fact is he really likes me, and I am on the inside track, or close, but he takes other women out and all I see him is at flirt fests during our project meetings. He also has a habit of being cheap, and just recently I told him we hit budget with my work, and more would be on an hourly basis, he was ok with it, but I believe a lot of his flirting is to get a good price and a ton of work from me. well, I am no slouch either, pretty cute myself, but I’ve had it with this nowhere game, and especially if I sit there dumb struck (must be the old word for grain freeze?) looking and being idiotic while he flirts and then goes out with a boat load of others.
Any advice? I need the job, and seems it will last another couple months. + he keeps hiring me for other things like photography et all.

    • wow!
      bad deal.
advice? well, for the brain freeze- you know whats going to happen at your next meeting. decide what you wishes and limits are. then plan ahead and mentally rehearse (or with a friend) the responses you want to give.
sound like you need to set limits and take the risk of losing an undesirable client
      good luck
