When we are paralyzed, because of the big thing we are procrastinating on, then step two is to break the big thing into the smallest possible steps. Then do one. Ideally, do the hardest one first, but it doesn’t have to be. If that is all you can do, then repeat the process tomorrow. Each night, you want to be able to say, “Well, at least I did one part today.” If you break it into a small enough steps, you can do it.
doug the book is coming along. I have finished draft 13, have most of the illustrations, meet with the illustrator monday. next step is table of contents, then design the covers and spine. then to the final editor.
