Slogans ——- Tip o the day 50

I have a lot of slogans that help me.

I can just say them thru the day, or when the appropriate situation arises:

Do it now, do it right, do the hard part first.

You can only do what you can do.

One foot in front of the other.

Only God’s opinion matters.

Just show up and do your job.

Words to live by, especially with ADD.

More about self talk soon.

Modified the book title:

Your Life Can Be Better –

using strategies for adult ADD.

About doug with ADHD

I am a psychiatric physician. I learned I have ADHD at age 64, and then wrote two ADHD books for adults, focusing on strategies for making your life better. I just published my first novel, Alma Means Soul. Your Life Can Be Better; strategies for adults with ADD/ADHD available at, or (for e books) Living Daily With Adult ADD or ADHD: 365 Tips O the Day ( e-book). This is one tip at a time, one page at a time, at your own pace. It's meant to last a year. As a child, I was a bully. Then there was a transformation. Now I am committed to helping people instead abusing them. The Bully was published in January, 2016. It's in print or e book, on Amazon.

  3. Lucy says:

Slogans are good- I call them Attitude Adjusters. They are an important part
of my life; particularly in the mornings!.. When I awake to my semi-conscious state, and find that my mind is already in gear (there’s always something rumbling around
in my head); I immediately “tune in”. If the thoughts are uplifting, I give a prayer
of gratitude & continue the thought pattern; if not, I say (to myself, or course)- YOU
need an attitude adjustment! & then, I focus on the “slogans” that work for me.
I highly recommend the “serenity or AA prayer”.
Thanks, Doug, for sharing your slogans.

    • great! thank you for your sharing and for following the blog.
right now I am using another slogan – “this too shall pass.” I cant get the blog to work.
i have posted tips 52 and 53 but the blog is stuck on 51.
      this too shall pass
and I’m adding the serenity prayer as well.
