Avoiding Tip o the day 27

What is the difference between procrastination and avoiding?

To me, avoiding means I can procrastinate on it forever, it may never get done.

Procrastination means I really need to do it, and will fairly soon.

Santa Fe riddle: what does mañana mean?   (see below)

Strategy is the same.  I carry a card labelled “avoiding” so I try to be aware of what I am avoiding.  Then think of the rewards and penalties involved.  Make small steps.  Schedule each step.  Start with the hard one first.

Is avoiding a long term form of procrastination?  or is procrastination a short term form of avoiding?

Answer to riddle:  No, in Santa Fe mañana does not mean tomorrow

it means not today.
